At the University of California Irvine, Writing 39A is an introduction to writing and rhetoric. It is designed to allow college writers, like myself, to improve on writing, reading, and communication skills. Each writing course has a different theme, chosen by the instructor. My class is focused on Disney films and gender roles.  More specifically the question we are focusing on is, "How do Disney films contribute to the construction of society's values and norms about gender roles? Have these values changed over time?"
